When it comes to cinema acoustics, our ideal is that “the screen disappears”.

Of course, we don’t mean literally eliminating the screen, since film is about projection of images. What we mean is that no sound is lost from the speaker system due to the screen.

A regular cinema screen attenuates the high frequencies by about 10 dB compared to without the screen. Of course, the midrange is also considerably attenuated.

Since a curtain is in place over the entire surface of the speaker system, naturally the timbre will change as well. So how can we reproduce the BWV ideal of "accurate and unclouded sound" in a movie theater?

The key is to choose a screen with high sound transmission characteristics.

The next step is to install a sturdy and low-noise structured screen frame and properly secure the main speakers. Then install the appropriate quantity of subwoofers and surround speakers in our recommended locations, and wire together the DSP and power amp with the cables we recommend. Finally, when the sound is carefully adjusted by officially trained technicians, precise, unclouded sound will echo through the movie theater as if the screen has all but disappeared.

BWV is proud to provide cinema systems to reproduce this precise and unclouded sound.

We hope to help all of our customers forget about the existence of speaker systems and just immerse themselves in the movies.
